8th Grade Awards Program

Chesterton Middle School hosted virtually its annual Honors Award Ceremony for eighth grade students. Students were recognized for the following awards:

*Presidential Academic Achievement Award- students who received a cumulative 3.5 grade point or higher as well as receiving high achievement on state or nationally normed reading or mathematics exams.

*Principal's Award- students received the Principal’s Honor Roll for six out of eight terms while in seventh and eighth grade at CMS.

*Most Improved- student has shown tremendous growth, not only academically, but in all ares while at CMS. 

*Perfect Attendance- students have achieved perfect attendance for both years while at CMS. 

*Outstanding Reader Award- student has shown a true passion for reading. 

*Oustanding Student Athlete- students have participated in multiples sports while maintaining a great GPA. They embody being a good teammate, good sportsmanship, and work-ethic. 

The Duneland Exchange Club Young Citizenship Award was also presented.
