Chesterton High School National Honor Society inducts 81 new members - 3/22
The Chesterton High School Chapter of National Honor Society (NHS) welcomed three seniors and 78 juniors into membership during the 75th annual induction ceremony on Wednesday evening at the Chesterton High School.
The three seniors are Elijah Arulandu, Mollie Haughtington and Evan Schmitt. The NHS ceremony highlights the cardinal principles of the National Honor Society-scholarship, leadership, service and character. Each new member were individually recognized and presented with a membership certificate by Principal Brent Martinson. The NHS advisor is CHS social studies teacher Bryan Nallenweg.
All students invited to become members of National Honor Society have passed through a rigorous selection process that examines the areas of scholarship, leadership, service and character. National Honor Society was created by and is under the direction of the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
