The DSC school year is set to begin on August 12, 2020. As we continue to plan for a safe reentry, DSC must start tracking any students or staff members who are symptomatic and/or have had close contact (within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes) with an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past two weeks. Symptom and close contact tracking must take place regardless of the reentry level (level 2-4). Starting today, July 29th, we ask all students and staff members to conduct a self-assessment each morning using the attached guide (see below) from the DSC reentry plan. If a student or staff member answers “yes” to any of the three questions in the guide, they must contact their school’s main office or workplace and share their symptoms as soon as possible.
Once school begins, all students and staff members who display any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 should not come to school. When reporting absences, please report symptom(s) to school officials. If any symptoms develop after the school day starts, students should report to the school nurse for further guidance. Staff members should notify an immediate supervisor, return home, and contact a medical provider.
