Mr. Arizzi

Mr. Vince Arizzi is currently in his 15th year of teaching in the Duneland School Corporation. Currently his responsibilities include: Director of Music Education, CMS Band Director, WIS Band Director, CHS Pep Band Director, and CHS Trojan Guard Marching Band Director. Mr. Arizzi received his Bachelor of Music Education Degree from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in 2004. He completed his Master of Music Education Degree from the VanderCook College of Music in 2011. As a performer, Mr. Arizzi can be heard throughout Northwest Indiana playing trombone and euphonium with the South Shore Brass Band and the South Shore Chamber Brass.

Ms. Gerig

Miss Gerig is currently in her 6th year with Duneland School Corporation, her 7th year of teaching overall. She has her Masters of Music Education from Vandercook College of Music and her Bachelor of Music in Music Education, General and Instrumental Music Grades K-12 from Butler University. Before receiving her job with Duneland, she was the orchestra director for grades 6-12 in Richmond Community Schools for the 2013-2014 school year. During her time in Duneland, she has taught 5th and 6th grade orchestra at Liberty Intermediate and Westchester Intermediate, 7th and 8th grade orchestra at Chesterton Middle School, the intermediate high school orchestra at Chesterton High School, piano lab and music theory at Chesterton High School, and 8th grade general music at Chesterton Middle School. She also has helped direct the show choir band at Chesterton High School. Currently, her position is grades 5-8 orchestra at LIS, WIS, and CMS.

Miss Gerig enjoys all forms of music. To give you an idea, she has attended concerts anywhere from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra to Kesha. She has three jobs outside of teaching orchestra, and those are teaching private lessons, playing bass guitar and doing backup vocals for a rock band (The Orange Whips), and driving for Uber. Whenever she's not doing those things, you can find me watching football or basketball or watching various tv shows (Friends, Stranger Things, Modern Family, Brooklyn 99...to name just a few!)

Ms. Gorski

Miss Gorski graduated from Butler University in 2014 making this her 6th year of teaching. She previously taught general music and choir in both Hebron and Merrillville.
 
When she is not directing, teaching or cheering on the Trojans at various after-school events, Miss Gorski enjoys performing in and directing community theatre productions around the region. She also enjoys any opportunity to relax and watch either Veronica Mars or Downton Abbey. She also enjoys all things Disney, playing piano, and dining at local restaurants (especially Albano's)

Mr. Nuzzo

 

Mr. Nuzzo is a 2002 graduate of Chesterton High School. He attended VanderCook College of Music in Chicago where he received his bachelors degree in Music Education. As a saxophonist he has played at numerous venues throughout the city of Chicago. He has taught in Northwest Indiana at River Forest and Hobart schools as well as at Bishop Noll Institute. For the past six years he has been teaching guitar and piano at Farragut Career Academy in Chicago. He is excited to return home to share his knowledge and experience in music with the Duneland Community.

I enjoy fishing, Cooking, Wrestling, MMA, and Computers.
