Safety and Security
Duneland School Corporation Safety & Security stands ready to assist administrators and staff in creating and maintaining a safe and secure environment for the educational process. A safe environment is essential for students and staff to be successful in the Duneland goal of student achievement. The Department is involved in everything from parking safety and emergency drills, to criminal activity and works closely with all law enforcement agencies and fire department jurisdictions within Duneland boundaries.
IC 5-2-10.1-9 requires each school district to have a state certified school safety specialist. All members of the Department are certified and attend classes annually to maintain their certification.
