The 135th annual Chesterton High School commencement exercises will be hosted on Wednesday, June 4 at 7:00 p.m. at the CHS Football Stadium. In case of inclement weather:

• Rain date #1: Thursday, June 5 at 7:00 p.m. at the CHS Football Stadium

• Rain date #2: Sunday, June 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the CHS Football Stadium

  • If it rains all day Sunday, June 8, the eight (8) tickets will be used for an indoor ceremony in the CHS Gymnasium at 7:00 p.m.
     

Student Government officers are: Anisa Faroh, president of Student Government; Payton Ciszewski, Vice President of Student Affairs; Marley Mayer, Vice President of Public Relations; Quinn Fleming, Treasurer.

Senior class senators are: William Courtright, Gabrielle Dunlap, Anthony Gonzales, Alexander Smith, Alaina Welsh McGrogan, Marlee Willson, and Senior Class Liaison, Amelia Kelly.

Presenting the Commencement Address will be English teacher Jacob Lukach.

The class flower: Chrysanthemum

The class motto: “Your fear of looking stupid is holding you back.”

Other events of the day include...Presentation of honor students by Brent Martinson, principal; awarding of the diplomas by Dr. Chip Pettit, superintendent of schools; Robert McDermott, assistant superintendent, and the officers and members of the Board of School Trustees of the DSC; and the traditional turning of the tassels and closing by Anisa Faroh, president of Student Government.

White admission tickets are required for early admission at commencement. The Stadium will have early admittance beginning from 5:30-6:00 p.m. Open admission will begin after 6 p.m. Each senior has been issued eight white tickets for his/her parents and relatives.

Special tickets are required for those guests who are physically unable to climb the bleachers. Students may exchange two regular tickets for two handicap tickets in the Main Office at CHS. Special handicapped parking is available. It is recommended that seniors and those with mobility limitations be dropped off while other family members park the vehicle elsewhere.

A live press box view will be available of the CHS Graduation ceremony on June 4, 2025 beginning at 6:45 p.m. on Facebook Live through the CHS Facebook Page. Visitors do not need to be a member of Facebook to watch the live view.
