Account Payments and Charging Policies

  • Payments may be made by check or cash. Students may pay the cashier in their cafeteria and she will credit the account with the amount given. The cashiers will inform students when their accounts are getting low and send home a note in their book bag. Payments to your child's MyPaymentsPlus account can be made at http://www.mypaymentsplus.com.  
     
    Questions or concerns regarding a student’s meal account balance, breakfast and lunch procedures, or account collection activities should be addressed to the cafeteria cashier at the student’s school.

    Cafeteria Charging Policy

    Grades K-6
    When an elementary or intermediate school student (grades kindergarten through sixth) does not have money in his/her student meal account to cover the cost of a meal at the time that the student comes through the breakfast or lunch cashier line, the following accommodations will be made: Up to three (3) breakfast and three (3) lunch meals may be charged to the student’s account.
     
    If the account continues to have no money available to cover the meal cost after the third charged breakfast or lunch, the student will receive a courtesy meal until such time that the account has money in it to cover the cost of a regular breakfast or lunch.

    Courtesy meals are:
     
    Breakfast: Cold Whole Grain Cereal, 8 Oz. Milk or 4 Oz Juice
    Lunch: American Cheese Sandwich on Whole Grain Bread, 8 Oz Milk or 4 Oz juice

    Grades 7-12
    High school and middle school students are not allowed to charge to his or her student ID account showing a negative balance. When a CMS or CHS student does not have money in his/her student meal account to cover the cost of a meal at the time that the student comes through the breakfast or lunch cashier line, the student will receive a courtesy meal.

    Courtesy meals are:
     
    Breakfast: Two (2) Slices of Toast, 8 Oz Milk or 4 Oz Juice
    Lunch: American Cheese Sandwich on Whole Grain Bread and 8 Oz Milk or 4 Oz. Juice

Free and Reduced Meal Information

  • Free and Reduced Lunches

    There is NO need to fill out an application if you are currently using the food stamp program or TANF. If anytime DURING the school year you apply for food stamps or TANF and are approved, you MUST fill out and submit an application. Your children will be automatically certified to receive FREE Breakfast and Lunch at that time.
     
    Parents can now apply for the Free and reduced program online at FROnline.duneland.k12.in.us

    You will only need to fill out one application per household listing all of your children that are students at Duneland Schools.  Apply early so that your children can start school already approved for free or reduced meals.

    Students can receive a free or reduced meal from any lunch line at all schools.

MyPayments Plus

  • Manage Your Student's Meal Account Online

    Duneland School Corporation offers MealpayPlus (www.mypaymentsplus.com), a state-of-the-art online service that provides you the convenience and information you need to manage your student’s meal account. This system speeds up serving lines in the cafeteria, eliminates the need to send checks to school or worry about lost or forgotten lunch money, and ensures that your child will receive a nutritious meal.

    The Duneland School Corporation encourage all parents (even if you do not prepay for your student’s meal account) to create an account at no cost through www.mypaymentsplus.com. To create a new account, follow the onscreen directions and register your student using their Student ID number. Student ID numbers can be obtained by contacting customer support at: 1-877-237-0946.

    For those who do wish to prepay into their student’s meal account, MyPaymentsPlus offers several convenient ways to do so by visiting www.mypaymentsplus.com or calling 866-441-9125 from anywhere, at anytime.
