What is the difference between ENROLLMENT and REGISTRATION ?Student enrollment is the one-time process of arranging to attend Duneland School Corporation. Once a student is enrolled with Duneland School Corporation, they are eligible to proceed with registration.
Registration is the yearly process of reviewing and updating student information typically done electronically prior to the start of school.

Enrollment Requirements for NEW StudentsFor the 2023-2024 school year, children enrolling in kindergarten must be five years old on or before August 1, 2023 unless granted an early admission waiver by the superintendent of schools. A birth certificate, not a hospital certificate, must be presented during the registration process.
For information about the minimum immunization requirements, visit the Duneland School Corporation Health Services site. Indiana Public Law 50 mandates that all children have their immunizations current before entering school in August. Parents of all students should review their child's immunization record now to make sure that they are current with the Indiana 2023-24 Required and Recommended School Immunizations prior to entering school.
Please contact your physician to update your child's immunization status or call the local health department. The Porter County Health Department conducts immunizations BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Contact the Porter County Health Department at 465-3525.Out-of-District Enrollment - CLOSED
Out-of-district enrollment is closed for the 2023-2024 school year. For more information, please contact our district residency contact Connie Crowley at 983-3600 or ccrowley@duneland.k12.in.us

Proof of Residency Requirements
Proof of Residency (i.e. legal settlement) is required for all new students and students whose residence within the district has changed since they last enrolled in school. Acceptable documentation of legal settlement must include the parent/guardian name, student and parent/guardian’s current address on one of the following: Mortgage statement or lease agreement or two of the following documents with a current date and address; pay stub, utility bill, bank statement, vehicle registration, voter registration or Indiana issued driver’s license.
K-12 Curricular Fees
Following the passage of recent legislation on textbooks/curriculum materials, Duneland will not be collecting textbook and instructional supply fees for the upcoming school year.
