Miss Melissa Henrichs

Media/Tech Assistant

Hey! I am Miss H, and at all times you will find me in the CHS Library. My favorite types of books to read are manga, comics, horror and sci-fi. If you are interested in book suggestions, look for the pink haired lady in the library.

When I am not in the library, I am raising a small army of cats. *For more details and pictures of my cats, please stop by the library*

Life gave me luck enough to become a mom of three now adult children and grandma to three grandchildren. This is my joy when I spend time with them. It's true what everyone says about being a grandparent. I've been working at DSC in one capacity or another since 1998 which began at Bailly Elementary as a lunch cashier. This was before the computer was used for collecting the money for lunches. Let's not bring age into it! I then began working in Media/Technology as a Technology Aide/Technician in 2004 and began traveling to different Duneland schools during 2017-2020. Very fortunately now, I've landed here at CHS which is a wonderful place to be. I'm truly enjoying being in the High School library and seeing students I recognize from elementary grown into young adults.

Mrs. Emily Wilt

Library Media Specialist & AISLE Chair

I graduated from Kenyon College in 2009 with a BA in Religious Studies, then followed that with an AA in Fashion Design from FIDM in 2010. In 2016 I earned my Masters in Library & Information Studies from the University of Alabama. I held over 20 different jobs, from working in the fashion industry in Los Angeles to working on an organic farm in Alabama to being a delivery driver in Chicago, before finally landing in the CHS library in 2016. In addition to teaching, I sponsor the club Girls Rising that holds an annual drive (The Pink Box Project) to collect menstrual products for a local women's shelter. I'm passionate about pursuing whatever makes me curious and working toward a more sustainable and equitable world.
