Chesterton High School is the only place that I have ever taught! After graduating from Ball State University in 1995 I took my first job at CHS... and the rest is history! I have always been grateful to teach in a community that values experiential learning and supports unique learning opportunities, such as the living history Civil War Camp and Trail Bound summer history course. I also work closely with the Duneland Teachers Association and am proud of the work we do to support our teachers and promote public education.

Mrs. Anna Zervos

I have had the joy of teaching Social Studies for the last 36 years. The last 30 of them have been at Chesterton High School. I received both my undergraduate and Masters in U.S. History from Valparaiso University. Since 1992 I have called Chesterton High School my home. I teach AP U.S. History and Dual Credit U.S. History. In the years I have been teaching at Chesterton, I have directed several plays, sponsored the National Honor Society, coached the Academic Superbowl, and the coached the Quiz Bowl. I have sponsored classes, coached track, joined numerous committees, developed curriculum and for the last 17 years along with Mr. De Runtz sponsored the Civil War Camp. I have been married to my wonderful husband John for 36 years and we have a son in college.

The best part of teaching for me is getting to know the students. I have had the privilege of having some fantastic students over the years and have cherished by time in the classroom. I have also been lucky to work with such outstanding faculty and administrators.
