Why are meals FREE for ALL Children?
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has granted a waiver to allow all children under the age of 18 to receive school meals at no cost.
Beginning on Wednesday, Dec. 2:
Free Meal Pickup for ALL CHILDREN. 5 breakfast and 5 lunch meals will be distributed once a week on Wednesdays between the hours of 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the following sites:
Liberty Intermediate - 50 West 900 North, Chesterton
Enter the parking area at the west entrance (next to Liberty Elementary), follow the horse shoe left around the parking spaces. Pick up is at the Main Entrance of the Intermediate School.
Yost Elementary - 100 W. Beam St., Porter
Enter parking area from Beam St. Go left down the hill. Stay left of cones and follow drive around to back of the building for meal pickup at the Food Service Entrance.
Chesterton High School - 2125 S. 11th Street
Enter parking area from 11th Street by the Football Stadium and follow signage to back of the building for pickup.
Please pick up meals for all children in the household at one location.
