The 50th Anniversary Committee is pleased to announce the winners of the Bookmark Contest celebrating 50 years of Duneland. Students participating were to create a bookmark illustrating what they love about school to help celebrate. The committee received 173 entries from students in grade K-6. The two categories, grades K-4 and grades 5-8, participating were adjusted to three winners per category due to a lack of participation at the secondary levels.
Those winners in the K-4 category are:
First Place - Lucy Arocha, grade 3 of Bailly Elementary
Second Place - Abrielle Dehnart, grade 3 of Yost Elementary
Third Place - Dominic Orlando, grade 4 of Bailly Elementary
Those winners in the 5-8 category are:
First Place - Han Phan, grade 5 of Liberty Intermediate
Second Place - Hailey Geiser, grade 6 of Liberty Intermediate
Third Place - Enrico Ortega, grade 5 of Westchester Intermediate
These students will be recognized at the school board meeting on February 4 at the Duneland Administration Center.
