A Parent Plan for Drug Prevention
It is our goal at Duneland School Corporation to partner with parents and our community to provide a quality education and a safe place for our students to live and learn. We strive to have ongoing and open communication with our Duneland community. It is in this line of thinking that we would like to share some serious information with you. There are concerns regarding the local supplies of illicit heroin. While heroin use is an immediate concern, any substance abuse affects quality of life. Parents are still the most powerful influence in their children’s lives. It is important to us that we remind our community that the following resources are available should you or anyone you know have concerns about dealing with any drug use or abuse issues.
The following link is to a video that will assist parents in identifying the signs of drug use and suggestions on how to talk with your children about drug use and abuse entitled, A Parent Plan for Drug Prevention.
