At the end of April,  Westchester Intermediate School played host to the seventh annual Liberty Intermediate vs. Westchester Intermediate Book Battle. The book battle is based upon the familiar Jeopardy format and features a single, double and final round.  Both fifth and sixth grade students prepared for the competition by reading and taking quizzes on titles from the 2011-2012 Young Hoosier reading list.  Four teams represented each school, battling not only for their school, but also for the distinction of overall champion.
