The staff of Yost Elementary School believes all students are capable of learning and accepts the responsibility for providing an effective environment where learning will take place. An effective learning environment provides encouragement and excitement for learning, promotes self-esteem, and is physically safe, emotionally secure, and academically challenging. Such an environment fosters academic growth and maturity in social/emotional behaviors and attitudes. We believe learning is a cooperative effort which includes the students, school personnel, family and community.
