On behalf of the faculty and staff, I would like to welcome you to Liberty Elementary School. As the principal, I have the opportunity every day to work with a dedicated and caring staff that is committed to the success of our students.
My educational background includes a bachelor's degree from Purdue University North Central, a master's degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University Calumet, and a second master's degree in Administration and Supervision from Purdue University Calumet. I am currently pursuing my Educational Specialist Degree. I worked as a classroom teacher with the LaPorte Community School Corporation for five years. In 1998, I became a classroom teacher in Duneland School Corporation. Since 2007, I have been the principal of Liberty Elementary School.
I reside in Chesterton with my husband John and step-daughter, Katie. John is the Deputy Fire Chief with the Chesterton Fire Department, and Katie is a student in the Duneland Schools. I enjoy riding my bike, spending time with my family and walking my dog, Macey.
